Intro
Arch Reactor’s Avid Pro 4/8 CNC is designed to allow fabrication from full size sheets. Along with wood, plywood, foam and MDF, it can do soft metals like aluminum, copper and brass. We run a meetup on the 2nd Friday of each month to assist with learning this tool. Our general policy is you need to complete two projects on the machine with supervision and then will be given computer password. The first will be done by a mentor. The second project the mentor will assist.

Troubleshooting
Lack of dimensional accuracy:
The AvidCNC Router uses a Mach4 profile taylored to the machine. There should not be any need to “tune” as the parameters are math calculations. As long as the configure screen has the correct settings, everything should work correctly.
