How Portals Work
Portals are like homepages for certain categories for projects. For example, If you are working on an Arduino project, you can add a link to the page Portal:Arduino and put a short description of what the project does.
When to create a Portal
Portals are generally ideal for Categories that are quite popular. For example, the category Category:Arduino can have it's own portal page Portal:Arduino because there are several Arduino projects that are in the Category:Arduino, however "Bob's Arduino Robot Project" does not have portal page, but since it is relevant to Arduino, and listed in the Arduino category, It may be mentioned on the Arudion Portal Page.
How to create a Portal
- First, you need a category with a significant amount of articles in it.
- Second, the portal page title should start with the prefix Portal: and be included in Category:Portals.
