General

These rules apply to every piece of Complex Equipment listed below.

  • You must be trained on the specific piece of equipment in order to use it.
  • All debris must be cleaned up after done using the equipment. (i.e. sweeping up saw dust)

CraftsMan Table Saw

  • Before use:
    1. Verify the leg bolts are tight.
  • During use:
    1. Eye protection must be worn.
  • After use:
    1. Return the blade to below the table surface.
    2. Unplug the saw
    3. Return the saw to it's storage location.

Dewalt Miter Saw

  • Before use:
    1. The saw must be bolted to it's work bench before using
    2. Verify the blade bolt is tight
  • During use:
    1. Eye protection must be worn.
  • After use:
    1. Empty the saw dust collection bag
    2. Return the blade assembly to the vertical position
    3. Lock the blade assembly in the lower position
    4. Return it to the storage location and bolted there.
    5. The blade assembly must be rotated to 45 degrees per the labeling on the storage shelf.

Any Cicular Saw

  • Before use:
    1. The saw must be bolted to it's work bench before using
    2. Verify the blade bolt is tight
  • During use:
    1. Eye protection must be worn.
  • After use:
    1. Store saw and accessories in carry case
    2. Return case to it's storage location.

Any Jig Saw

  • Before use:
    1. Verify the blade is properly seated
  • During use:
    1. Eye protection must be worn.
  • After use:
    1. Unplug the saw and wrap the cord around it.
    2. Return the saw to it's storage location.

Any Drill

  • Before use:
    1. -
  • During use:
    1. When changing bits, verify it is properly seated and tightened
  • After use:
    1. If corded, unplug the drill and wrap the cord around it.
    2. Remove any bits and store them in their storage container.
    3. Return the drill to it's storage location.
