Definitions

Arch Reactor Equipment

Equipment that was solely paid for by the Arch Reactor treasury through the rules dictating capital expenditure or has been donated by a member (full or supporting) or non-member to Arch Reactor through the rules dictating Donation of Equipment.

The Arch Reactor Space

All areas owned by or rented to Arch Reactor.

Borrowed Equipment

Arch Reactor Equipment or Loaned Equipment that has been removed from the Arch Reactor workspace or other area by the rules dictating Borrowing of Equipment.

Common Raw Material

Any Project Material that has is free for any member or group of member to take and use how they see fit for the completion of a project.

Complex Equipment

Equipment where the operation of said Equipment is more complex than can be reasonably assumed or where physical injury is possible through normal or abnormal operation or where damage to said equipment can be inflicted with relative ease through normal or abnormal operation.

Examples of Complex Equipment: table saw, computer, sewing machine.

Examples of non-Complex Equipment: chair, screw driver, television.

Equipment

Any machine, device, computer, tool, console, furniture, fixture, or other equipment.

Equipment Maintenance

Routine or non-routine tasks to be performed on Equipment as it incurs Equipment Wear. This includes, but is not limited to, lubrication, replacement of parts, cleaning, upgrades, sustaining the Equipment's safety level, and retirement.

Equipment Maintenance Negligence

The deterioration of condition an Equipment incurs over time through normal operation without or with improper Equipment Maintenance.

Equipment Owner

The legal owner of the Equipment or a representative there of. The Equipment Owner for Arch Reactor Equipment is Arch Reactor. The Equipment Owner for Loaned Equipment is the member (full or supporting) or non-member who has loaned the Equipment to Arch Reactor. The Equipment Owner of Borrowed Equipment or Complex Equipment is defined by whether the Equipment is Arch Reactor Equipment or Loaned Equipment.

Equipment User

Any party, member (full or supporting) or otherwise, currently using or operating said Equipment.

Equipment User Negligence

Any use of Equipment by an Equipment User which is neglectful or not of reasonable, normal operation. This includes, but is not limited to, operating Equipment for tasks other than the Equipment's purpose, operating Equipment without required training, operating Equipment outside the parameters of safe operation as defined by the Operators Manual, or neglecting Equipment Maintenance required during said Equipment User's operation of said Equipment.

Equipment Wear

The deterioration of condition an Equipment incurs over time through normal operation and Equipment Maintenance, including failure or destruction due to manufacturer defects or Acts of God.

Loaned Equipment

Equipment that has been loaned by a member (full or supporting) or non-member to Arch Reactor through the rules dictating Loaning of Equipment.

Member Project Material

Any Project Material that owned and/or reserved for a single member or group of members for the completion of a project.

Non-Sponsored Event

Any event held that is not a Sponsored Event.

Project Material

Anything used during the completion of a project that is not Equipment.

Examples of Project Material: lumber, screws, glue, paper, metal, batteries, parts/components, fabric, LEDs.

Examples of non-Project Material: screw driver, scissors, table saw, computer, sewing machine.

Public Space

The area of The Arch Reactor Space where members (full or supporting) have 24 hour access. Utilization of this area includes, but is not limited to, classes, socializing, meetings, gaming, and parties.

Sponsored Event

Any event held who's primary purpose is sanctioned and sponsored by the Arch Reactor board and its members. See Sponsored Event Request for information on requesting one.

Workshop, The

The area of The Arch Reactor Space where full members have 24 hour access and supporting members have limited access. Utilization of this area includes, but is not limited to, classes and project work.
