2600: The Hacker Quarterly is a publication established in 1984 by Emmanuel Goldstein (Eric Gordon Corley). It is possibly the most recognizable hacker magazine in publication.

In celebration of their 25 years of publication, 2600 Enterprise's released a tome of magazine articles from the past 25 years in late 2008 and again in 2009 (which was actually there 25th year) called The Best of 2600: A Hacker Odyssey.

2600 Meetings

Meetings of 2600 readers are generally held on the first Friday of the month at 7 PM local time in most places.

2600 Meetings in St. Louis

Until 2010, the local 2600 meetings that were held in St. Louis were held at the St. Louis Galleria. Because shopping malls have fallen from grace over the past decade, the local meetings suffered dwindling attendance.

On March 5, 2010, the local 2600 meetings found a new home at Arch Reactor.

The meetings are open to anyone interested in attending the 2600 meeting including people are not members of Arch Reactor.
