Officer reports
Treasurer
Dues are almost all paid. Thanks. Breaking even on expenses we think. Getting a discount from Adafruit. We will pass half that discount to the members, and keep the rest for the group. $250 minimum order to be eligible for the discount.
Our application for a booth at the Detroit Maker Faire was accepted. A group of us are already planning on going. We get a few free admissions, not sure of the exact number.
Sargent at Arms
Just going to have to pick a date for the safety classes. After that date no one will be allowed to use the shop until they take the class. Planning on repeating the class once a month. Also special classes will be held for specific pieces of equipment.
Keys are available for those who want them and have the deposit.
Things need to be done for the open house: Cleaning the fridge has been done. Deech is going to mount the projector properly. Power setup in the center of the class area. Floors need to be swept.
People who will have ongoing demos, see Stephen to see how much space you need.

Sign up for Beer table and Greeter table on the signup sheets.
Joe B will bring a bar for serving.
Discussion over roaming greeters vs. door greeters.
Holding a 50/50 raffle during the open house. Prize is a retail copy of Windows 7 Sign up if you are bringing food.
Could use addition trash cans.
Discussed the power/breaker situation. Still on John’s to-do list. Assures us it will be soon.
Bring a/c units early to cool the place.
Ask John the landlord about the following: Circuit breaker. Bathrooms and TP.
Merchandising table should be combined with greeter table.
Keith will have membership forms.

Stacey is going to see if she can get Bob to post an official list of classes

First Aid/CPR training doesn’t affect our insurance rate. Suggested safety meeting on Tuesdays? Not necessarily needing weekly meeting for business after the open house.
