Junk/Gold Miscellaneous Stuff Wishlist This page is for the miscellaneous stuff you have lying around that someone else might be able to make a robot, a pencil sharpener, etc.

---

Without wandering upstairs to look, I have roughly 300 monitors of varying sizes (all crt, unfortunately), 15 electric typewriters, zip drives, jaz drives, misc. dead hard drives, small pile of inkjets, old digital phones, roughly a palette of power cords, and who knows what else. If any of this junk sounds useful for projects, let me know and I'll bring it by a meeting. (Obviously not a palette of monitors at a time, it's a long drive for my forklift.

Update, not trying to find somewhere to "recycle this stuff", planning for most/all of it to go to some project, many of the monitors will make it into a video wall, some of them will be used for jacobs ladders, brazil-esque displays, etc. Speaking of which, anyone have any big spare fresnels laying around?

Actually, most of of the stuff that you've mentioned can be recycled. There's a place that would recycle the CRT monotrs down in Rock Hill called DCAL Services They should help you get most of that stuff squared away. Powercords, digital phones, those could be useful.
