Thanks for dues from April. And thanks for those who have already payed for May. Will absent next week. We have drop in membership and are currently shy of our active member needs.
Sargent at Arms
We have the keys. We'll get copies made for members this week. Next week lets set a vote to vet in the supporting members that helped us move.
Discussed the floorplan from last week. Also talked about swapping the classroom and to the windowed corner. Computer area to the classroom. And work area to the computer area.
Door that has been built doesn't open the ideal way so we have less room for the discussed storage area.
To-do list to complete before open house:
- Ideally access control.
- Camera security set up.
- Power outlets. Lighting.
- Paint the walls.
- Some more worktables if the funds are available.
- Say 6 or 8 of on bigger side. Smaller side 4 or 5.
- Someone should see what's on sale at Lowes. Monday is when it's best
- Need to hang the projector
- wall in the workshop to soundproof from neighbors.
- Make a bunch of gridbeam to spec and keep a supply so we can build as neccsary.
When to do the open house? Should it be before or after memorial day. Best on a weekend since there was a lot of out of towners that attended last time.
Our goals for the open house are the same as last time. It's part a membership drive and part to show off, and part show and tell. Probably no party upstairs. It would cost us a few hundred dollars to rent the additional space and acquire the permits.
Today is the fourth. June 22 is Maker Fair. June 5 is a there are many events scheduled. June 12th is the weekend for Gateway Burners. June 19 and 26 are good for the President. Most people are in favor of the June 19 date so it is decided, starting at 4pm.

Director Reports
Webmaster
Nothing web related. But came up Sunday to show an Iowa Maker-space our area and discussed about being non profit. They found a landlord that needed tax credit can write off the $1 per square foot (4000 sq ft) for free rent to the non profit. They are around 25 members. The Power wheels is officially registered for the ps1 in Detroit.
PR and Fundraising
It would be really awesome if we could pick a date for a fundraiser. Stephen brought up with the viral videos. Many ideas for the video have been posted on the board. Stacy has a coworker that does video that might want to help. Also a video production company upstairs would love to be involved with it as well. Something to work on over the next couple weeks

2600 Meeting
Meeting at 6:30 next week. Bob will be showing an example of metasploit. Paul will present on software defined radio. Bring snacks and drink
Other Discussions
Discussed getting a Home Depot Project Account for fixing up the place.
It was suggested that we put a dust hood in the windowed corner since thats where the opening windows are.
We should start addressing safety concerns:
- fire extinguishers
- electrical
- ventilation
- first aid kits
- emergency phone list
- eye flush kit
- safety glasses
- dust masks/ respirator
- defibrillator
- gloves
Lockable storage came up again. The President suggested lets table the discussion until it is an issue. It's not something we have money for anyhow.
More discussion went into the ideal space layout.
Motion to vote: As of this day, dues will be due on the first of a month, and delinquent on the 7 day of the month. We will ask for dues at the first meeting of the month. If you become delinquent you will loose access to the space and member forum.
Motion Passes. Starting next month, dues will be required on the first of the month.
Meeting adjourns. Welcome Phil.
