Exploring the Tech DIY of ‘Hackerspaces’ on Science Friday

This afternoon the topic on Science Friday on NPR was "Exploring the Tech DIY of 'Hackerspaces'", featuring members of Alpha One Labs and NYC Resistor.

Some Arch Reactor members tried to call in, but I have not heard if any actually got on the air.  Listen to a recording of the show here

An insect hotel is a place for insects to raise their young or hibernate over winter. You can use your insect hotel to attract beneficial insects to your garden to feed birds, eat pests, and promote pollination. The insect hotel can be a attractive focal point in your garden and will provide you with many exciting opportunities to get close up views of the lives of the bees, beetles, and butterflies that call your garden home. Each workshop will include several stations to create different types of insect rooms. Come to all 3 workshops to create the insect resort hotel or just come to one and build a motel. Whatever you can manage your insects will thank you.
